The Village of Loami would like to inform all residents and businesses that, effective the May 15, 2025 billing, there will be an increase in water and sewer rates.
This adjustment is necessary due to our supplier City, Water, Light and Power (CWLP) increased their water rates in 2024 by 32% (the Village did not pass this increase on to our water customers) and now in 2025 CWLP increased their water rates another 32%. The adjustment is also to ensure the continued maintenance and improvement of our water and sewer infrastructure, meet rising operational costs, and support ongoing investments in reliable and safe utility services.
New Rates Effective May 15, 2025 Billing:

Water Rate Increase: First 1,000 gallons - $21.63 *minimum
Second 1,000 gallons - $21.63
2,000+ gallons - $10.77

Sewer Rate Increase: First 1,000 gallons - $11.47*minimum
Second 1,000 gallons - $11.47
2,000+ gallons - $6.04
For a minimum usage residential household, this will result in an estimated increase of approximately $6.74 per month.
